Riebeek Street club open since 2017: house and techno on event nights from 22:00 to 04:00, three rooms, a no-photos rule and tickets on Xceed and RA.

Mødular opened in February 2017 on Riebeek Street, in the shell of a former basement disco, and books house and techno with some garage, bass and broken-beat nights. It has three rooms: the original low-ceilinged room, the larger Lido Bar next door that the founders took over after Covid, and a planned 360-degree "Hexagon" floor mentioned in Xceed's seven-year interview. That interview describes the club as having grown from a 300 to a 1,200 capacity. Past guests listed on the club's own site include DVS1, Dasha Rush, Alan Oldham and Par Grindvik.

Event nights run on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 22:00, and recent nights have closed at 04:00, which Xceed's interview gives as the latest hour South African licensing allows. A well-enforced no-photos policy keeps phones off the dance floor. Techno Airlines lists Elevation Nights with FUNCTION on 31 October 2026, 22:00 to 04:00, from R150 on Xceed. The founders say they work with local taxi drivers to offer rides home at prices comparable to Uber. Not for you if you want a quiet room or plan to film the night.
