Mercy Brown is a speakeasy on Straszewskiego, on the western edge of the Old Town, with no sign and no menu in the window. You need the address, and the bar itself says to call if you cannot find the way in. Inside it is all 1920s: low light, an electro-swing soundtrack and cocktails the team says it composes rather than pours.
Jazz sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday start at 19:30 and are usually free; special shows, including burlesque, cost about 69–128 zł. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 18:00 and is 18+. Tables can be booked online or by phone. Not for you if you want cheap drinks or a loud bar.
