Former grain silo on the Maashaven, now Rotterdam's largest club venue for techno raves, gabber nights and themed parties.
Maassilo was built as a grain silo in 1906 and stored grain on the Maashaven until 2003. The ground floor and basement now hold the big halls, the largest taking around 2,300 people, and the whole building can be set up for as many as 6,000.
This is an events venue rather than a weekly club. Rotterdam Rave techno nights, gabber revivals, Latin and Caribbean parties and daytime modular sessions share the calendar. The big nights sell out in advance, with resale through TicketSwap. Lockers and toilets cost extra. Not for you if you like to decide at midnight where you are going.
