Little Red Door is on Rue Charlot in the northern Marais, behind a small red door with no sign above it. It is regularly ranked among the best bars in the world, yet the room itself feels cosy, closer to a New York neighbourhood bar than a hotel lounge.
It opens every day from 18:00 to 02:00. Expect a queue at the door on Friday and Saturday; arriving close to opening is the easiest way to get a seat. Not for you if you want a loud bar: this is a place to talk and drink slowly.
There is no sign on the door; queue outside at busy times and wait to be seated.
