The Transbordeur has been one of Lyon's main concert halls since 1989. It occupies a converted industrial building on Boulevard de Stalingrad, just over the city line in Villeurbanne, on the edge of the 6th arrondissement. Two halls can be opened up for about 1,800 people, and there is a bar area called Club Transbo.
Most nights are concerts, from rap to electronica: Apparat, Folamour and DJ Krush are all on the October 2026 calendar. Late formats open at 23:00 or 23:30 and are adults only. Lockers cost €4 or €6. Not for you if you want a club you can walk into at 02:00: this is a ticketed hall that works event by event.
