The Sonic is a barge moored at Quai des Étroits, on the Saône below the Saint-Georges end of Vieux Lyon. It describes itself as a home for underground culture: some nights it is a small rock club with a mini-CBGB feel, others an electronic dance floor. Bands come from Japan, the United States and across Europe, usually with a Lyon act on the same bill.
The autumn 2026 calendar includes LEYA, The Homesick and Edgär, and the boat has more than 400 past concerts behind it. Times and prices change with each event, so check the listing first. Perrache, on metro line A, is the nearest station. Not for you if you want a polished room: this is a small, loud boat for people who follow the bands.
