Le Sacré Cœur des Pentes is a bar and restaurant on rue Pouteau, on the Pentes de la Croix-Rousse, the steep streets that climb from the Terreaux to the plateau. It works like a festive neighbourhood café: Norman oysters from Saint-Vaast and Utah Beach, Breton galettes, tapas and charcuterie boards, with wine to match.
Happy hour runs from 17:00 to 19:00, with three oysters and a glass of white wine. It opens from 17:00 every day, until midnight from Wednesday to Saturday and until 22:30 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and it hosts themed nights such as flamenco. Not for you if you want a late finish: this is a warm-up on the slopes before you head down to the clubs.
