Le Point Rouge fills the former cellar of Château Descas at 1 quai de Paludate, a 550 m² space under a building raised in 1893 for a wine business that could store 1.5 million bottles. The menu runs to around 100 drinks, with a focus on wine-based cocktails such as Le Bordeluche: red wine, rum, passion fruit purée, Marie Brizard and honey syrup.
Bar professionals voted it 56th in the French Bar Awards 2026, one of six Bordeaux bars in the national top 100. The Sainte-Croix stop on trams C and D is close, and Rock School Barbey is nearby for a gig before or after. Not for you if you want a tiny neighbourhood bar: this is a 550 m² cellar.
