Le Fantôme de l'Opéra is a cocktail bar on rue Royale, a few minutes from the Opéra and the Hôtel de Ville. It is styled as an artist's dressing room, with sofas and alcoves, gramophones and sepia photographs on the walls. The menu is built around craft cocktails with whisky, gin, rum and sake.
It is closed on Sunday and Monday, and there is a terrace and air conditioning for warm nights. Hôtel de Ville–Louis Pradel (metro A and C) and Croix-Paquet (metro C) are the nearest stations. It makes an easy first stop before L'Antiquaire, a short walk away. Not for you if you want to dance: this is a sofa-and-conversation bar.
