Lab16 is a two-level venue on Via Zamboni, in the middle of the university quarter, and it runs from breakfast to late night. There is a bar area, a dinner and lounge space, private rooms with their own DJ consoles and a large floor for live music and DJ sets, with genres from rock and indie to house and disco.
The aperitivo comes with a generous buffet, and the crowd is young, as you would expect on Via Zamboni. Bologna's tourist board lists it as open daily from 07:30 to 03:00. It also hosts graduation parties and birthdays in the private rooms. Not for you if you want a quiet cocktail bar.
