Former sugar warehouse on Quai Rambaud, now an events hall that hosts the Nuits Sonores night programme every May.
La Sucrière is a former sugar warehouse on Quai Rambaud in Confluence, built from 1925 and extended in 1930 and 1960, with three silos added in the 1970s. Sugar production stopped in the early 1990s, and since 2003 the building has hosted the Lyon Biennale of contemporary art. Today it is an events hall with several large modular spaces, and Le Sucre sits on its roof.
For nightlife it matters in May, when the Nuits Sonores festival uses it for its night programme; the 2026 edition ran from 13 to 17 May. The rest of the year it hosts exhibitions, fairs and private events. Not for you if you want a weekly club night: check what is on, or go up to Le Sucre.
