La Maison M, listed in earlier guides as La Maison Mère, is a bar and club on place Gabriel Rambaud in the 1st arrondissement, a few streets from the Saône and the Terreaux. The music changes with the night: electro, jazz and hip-hop all appear on its programme, and many nights are free to enter.
In October 2026 its Shotgun listings include International Social Club, a free Wednesday night from 22:00. Hours and line-ups vary, so check the listing before you go. It works well as the step between cocktails on the Presqu'île and a club later on. Not for you if you want a famous booking or a big room: this is a social night out more than a destination.
