La Machine took over the former La Loco next to the Moulin Rouge in 2010 and runs it on several levels: Le Central, the main room for around 800 people, La Chaufferie, a 400-capacity former boiler room in the basement, and the Bar à Bulles, a hidden bar with a terrace on Cité Véron.
Club nights run on Friday and Saturday from midnight to 06:00, with concerts in the evenings during the week. The programme is eclectic: raves, themed parties, hip-hop and rock gigs and nineties nights. Not for you if you want a consistent music policy, so check the room and the line-up before you buy.
