Victorian pub on South Anne Street off Grafton Street, first licensed in 1803, with snugs, mahogany doors and stained glass.
Kehoe's at 9 South Anne Street, a few steps off Grafton Street, was first licensed in 1803 and rebuilt in its Victorian style towards the end of the 19th century. It still has its stained glass, mahogany doors, partitions and old snugs, and there is an upstairs room when the bar is full. It was named Best Tourist Pub in Dublin in 2024, and its owners, the Louis Fitzgerald Group, Best Pub Group in Ireland the same year.
It opens at 10:30 and closes at 23:30 from Monday to Thursday and at 00:30 on Friday and Saturday; on Sunday it runs from 11:30 to 23:00. It is a pub for conversation and a pint, with Irish coffee on the menu too. Not for you if you want a late night: when it closes, move on to George's Street.
Walk-in pub; the snugs are the first seats to go.
