Café Het Feest

Het Feest, the party, is a typical Groningen pub on the Peperstraat, and its draaibar is the thing people remember: a bar that turns while you stand at it. The music is Top 40 and Dutch sing-along songs, the kind everyone in the room knows the words to, and the floor is wherever there is space.

Thursday is the student night, and in a city where a quarter of the people study, Thursday counts. Opening times are not published online, so check its social channels. It is a natural stop between Donovan's, Sunny Beach and the other Peperstraat bars. Not for you if you want to hear anything unfamiliar: the point here is that you know every song.
