Het Bos is an arts house at Ankerrui 5-7, between the Schipperskwartier and Eilandje, run for and with artists, makers and musicians. Under one roof are spaces for concerts and album releases, exhibitions, theatre and film, plus a bar that serves coffee, soup and its own Bosbeer. Time Out lists it for art, music, theatre, nightlife, food and film, with a terrace, brunch and dancing, and Resident Advisor counts it among the city's popular club spaces.
It is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and closed on Monday and Tuesday; Sunday is for brunch. The programme changes every week, so look it up before you go. Not for you if you want a dedicated club every weekend: the dance floor is one part of a much broader programme.
