Halo is at 71 Loop Street, across from Butter, and has two areas: an upstairs bar and lounge and a downstairs main dance floor. Cape Town Magazine describes lasers, 3D lightscapes, moving ceiling lights, holographic moons behind the DJ deck and a red light tunnel. Programming covers underground house, tech house, melodic house and techno, with live music and DJ sets on some weekends. Tickets are sold through Howler and Xceed, and the club's own site offers membership with early ticket access.
The website lists Thursday from 19:00, tied to first-Thursday and special events, and Friday and Saturday with the upstairs open 19:00 to 02:00 and the downstairs main room 22:00 to 02:00. Cape Town Magazine still describes the club as 21 and over, and some event listings say 20, so the website is the rule to plan for.
