Gonzo is a club on Langstrasse that does not advertise itself: there is no illuminated sign, and the usual way to find it is the queue by the phone box. Unlike most of Zurich's clubs, it does not play electronic music. The rotation is hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, trap, Afro house and pop hits, with the odd live concert.
It opens from Wednesday to Saturday at 23:00. Trapped on Wednesday and Damn Dunnstig on Thursday are free and run to 04:00; Friday and Saturday are ticketed from CHF 20 and run to 06:00. Every night is 20+. Not for you if you are under 20, or if you came to Zurich for house and techno.
