Bar in the Haus der Kunst with 1937 gold wall paintings and a terrace, open until 01:00 from Wednesday to Saturday.

The Goldene Bar opened in 1937 as part of the central restaurant of what was then the Haus der Deutschen Kunst, now the Haus der Kunst. Its name comes from Karl Heinz Dallinger's wall paintings on a gold background, which show maps of Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Italy and Dalmatia and scenes of champagne and whisky making: an illustrated drinks list.

It is a café by day and a bar in the evening, with a terrace. It opens Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 01:00 and Sunday and Monday from 11:00 to 20:00, and it is closed on Tuesday. Not for you if you want a late night: it closes at 01:00 at the latest, so make it the first stop rather than the last.
