Small two-floor club in an 1872 house on the St. Pauli Fischmarkt, with a programme every night from 21:00 or 22:00.
The Golden Pudel Club was founded in 1988 by Rocko Schamoni and Schorsch Kamerun, and since 1995 it has been in a small house from 1872 on the St. Pauli Fischmarkt, right by the Elbe. A fire in February 2016 shut it; the ground floor reopened in August 2017 and the upper floor in July 2019 after a rebuild that cost around €850,000.
There is a programme every night, starting at 21:00 or 22:00, moving between electronic, experimental, afro and bass, with weekly series alongside one-off parties. The room is small and plain, which is the point. Not for you if you want a big sound system and a light show; you come here for the booking and the crowd.
No published dress code; the room is small, so it fills quickly on weekend nights.
