Techno and house club in a brick vault under the tracks of Köln West station, with regular club nights on Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:00.
Gewölbe means vault, and that is what it is: a long brick tunnel beneath the tracks of Köln West station on Hans-Böckler-Platz, a few minutes north of the Belgian Quarter. The programme is electronic music away from the mainstream, with local residents most weekends and guests such as Fritz Kalkbrenner and Ellen Allien on the autumn 2026 calendar.
Regular club nights run on Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:00, and on other days it only opens for occasional events. Tickets cost €12–20, with cheaper Im Fokus nights for local DJs, and the door is 18+. Admission is strict, and your phone camera gets taped over on the way in. Trams 3, 4 and 5 stop about 100 metres away. Not for you if you want room to spread out: it is a tunnel, and it fills.
Small basement club with a curated techno and house programme and live music; recipient of the APPLAUS programming award in its top category, twice.
Strict, selective door; phone cameras are taped over on the way in.
