The name comes from the Brüner Fledermause cabaret, founded in 1911. Jazz was reportedly first played in Brno at this venue soon afterwards. Fléda has been known as a music club since 2000 and now runs as House of Fléda, with Spektrum bar, a gallery and the underground Fraktal club.
