FIXY took over the former Club Oost building on the Oosterstraat. It is run by KopjeK, a Groningen party crew, together with the Boilermaker Group, and it splits into several spaces: a vinyl bar with cocktails and wine, a club room for DJ sets and the Gym, used for band rehearsals and creative sessions. The aim, in its own words, is a Berlin atmosphere with the KopjeK sound.
The bar opens from 17:00 on Wednesday and Thursday and from 16:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at the weekend the club goes on until 05:00 with house, techno and electro. It is the closest thing to an electronic club in the centre. Not for you if you want chart music: the records are the point here.
