Fidelity is an audiophile bar at 79 Queen Street in Smithfield, set up by the Whiplash brewery and the team behind The Big Romance. The point is the sound: a custom-built system by Hatchett, set up for listening while you drink craft beer from around the world, wine or cocktails. Food comes from Sister7, an Asian kitchen, in the evenings and at weekend lunchtimes.
It opens at 16:00 from Monday to Wednesday and at 13:00 from Thursday, and closes at midnight, 01:00 on Friday and Saturday and 23:30 on Sunday. It is a good start to a north-side night, a short walk from The Cobblestone. Not for you if you want a loud, crowded bar: people come here to listen.
