Small techno club near Louis Blanc from the former artistic director of Concrete, with an L-Acoustics rig and a flat €20 door.
Essaim opened in October 2024 on Rue Philippe de Girard, founded by Brice Coudert, the former artistic director of Concrete, with Jonathan Malaisé and Antoine Hernandez. Capacity is deliberately capped at 400 and the DJ booth sits on the dancefloor rather than on a stage.
Club nights run on Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:30 at a single €20 door price, with pints at €7.50 and cocktails at €9.50. The sound comes from an L-Acoustics system and the programme favours long sets. During the week the space works as a 350-seat concert hall, the Main Room. Not for you if you want big-room production.
Intimate 400-capacity electronic club with a floor-level DJ booth, no VIP section and longer sets from fewer artists.
Selective but inclusive: the door looks for people who are there for the music, and solo visitors are welcome.
