Craft beer bar on Tűzoltó utca next to the Trafó arts centre, with more than 20 taps, a kitchen and a ruin-bar courtyard.

Élesztőház, the yeast house, was pouring Hungarian craft beer before the microbrewery wave reached Budapest, and it calls itself the city's first independent craft beer pub. The industrial bar on Tűzoltó utca, next to the Trafó arts centre, has more than 20 taps of local beer, including the Fehér Nyúl brewery, plus a ruin-bar courtyard and a kitchen known for its burgers.

It is open every day from 15:00 to 03:00. The house lager costs 1,350 Ft and an IPA around 1,850 Ft, less than many Jewish Quarter bars charge for ordinary beer. The site also runs a wine bar, a cocktail bar and street food. Not for you if you want a dance floor; it is a place to drink well and talk.
