Electric Bristol is the venue at 15 Nelson Street that used to trade as SWX, a student party club that has turned into one of the city's main live music rooms. It holds about 1,800 people over several floors. The autumn 2026 calendar includes Jamie T, Phoebe Bridgers and a Dusky tour date, and the club nights lean towards drum and bass, jungle and techno.
Gigs run from 19:00 to 23:00 Sunday to Thursday and from 18:30 to 22:00 on Friday and Saturday, which leaves the late slot for club nights. Bags bigger than a handbag go in the cloakroom at £3 an item, there are no pass-outs and the dress code is casual. Not for you if you want an intimate room.
