Drink Kong is the cocktail bar of the bartender Patrick Pistolesi, on Piazza di San Martino ai Monti in the upper part of Monti. The look borrows from Japanese street style and eighties arcades: dark rooms, neon and retro games. The menu is arranged by mood rather than by spirit, with Japanese-inspired small plates on the side. It was number 40 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2025.
It opens every day from 18:30 to 02:00, with last orders at 01:30. Bookings are taken for up to six people and not after midnight, the door is 18+ and the dress code is smart casual. A second bar, Drink Kong Campo Marzio, takes separate bookings. Not for you if you want a cheap round: Time Out put cocktails at around €14.
