Djoon has been the home of soulful house in Paris since 2003. It sits on Boulevard Vincent Auriol, with a restaurant by day and a club of around 400 people at night. The programme runs through house, deep house, Afro house, disco and funk, and guests have included Louie Vega and Theo Parrish.
Club nights run at weekends from around 23:00 to 05:30, with entry between free and €15. The crowd comes to dance rather than to be seen. Not for you if you want techno or a 07:00 finish: this is a warm, musical room that closes earlier than the big clubs.
