Dead Wax is a vinyl-focused bar on Adderley Street, on the eastern side of Digbeth. Records set the tone, and the back of the week is given over to live music: Friday gigs usually start at 19:00 and cost around £10, from indie and rock bands to metal and electronic acts.
The club nights are cheap. Murder on the Dancefloor, a disco, funk and indie party on Halloween 2026, cost £2. It is a good place to start before Forum Digbeth, which is nearby on Glover Street. Not for you if you want a late finish: this is a bar first.
Bar entry is relaxed; gigs are ticketed at around £10.
