Multi-level Holešovice club built around moving scrap-metal sculpture, with drum and bass, techno and dub most nights.

Cross Club sits in a corner building on Plynární, about 100 m east of the Nádraží Holešovice metro station, and looks like a machine someone forgot to switch off. Moving metal sculptures cover the walls, the bars and the courtyard. The programme stays well away from the mainstream: drum and bass, techno, dub, reggae and the experimental end of electronic music, spread over several floors.

The main bar runs until 05:00 in the week and 07:00 on Friday and Saturday. Entry is usually free during the week, while Friday and Saturday have an admission fee, about 200–250 Kč for the events on the programme. The lower bar opens from Thursday to Saturday. Not for you if you want polish or a long cocktail list. Come for the sound and the building.

Getting in

History

Cross Club opened in 2002, founded by a group of friends, and grew from a small club into a three-floor venue. Its steampunk-style interior was largely built by the club's own team from scrap metal and other waste materials. A café was added in 2009.
