Copenhagen started life as an after-hours spot on Rua de São Paulo and turned into the hip-hop room of Cais do Sodré. The music runs from Portuguese and international rap to dancehall and batida, the Lisbon club sound built on African rhythms.
A renovation in 2022 added an upstairs lounge with a better cocktail list, while the dance floor stayed downstairs. It opens every day from 17:00 and runs until 06:00, which makes it a reliable late option midweek when other clubs are shut. Not for you if you want house or techno: the selection sticks to hip-hop and its offshoots.
Casual: it is a dance-floor crowd rather than a dress-up one.
