Clouds occupies the top of the Prime Tower at Maagplatz in Zürich-West and bills itself as the highest bar in Zurich. The bar and bistro are on the 35th floor, around 120 metres up, with views across the city, the Limmat valley and the industrial west. Many of the cocktails use the house gin, and there is a smokers' lounge.
It opens at 11:00 from Monday to Friday and at 16:00 at the weekend, closing at 23:00 on most nights and at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Hardbrücke station is next to the tower, so it works as a first drink before Hive, Supermarket or Exil. Not for you if you want a cheap round: you pay for the view.
