Circo Voador began in 1982 as a circus tent on the Arpoador peninsula, and the city later gave it a permanent site beside the Arcos da Lapa. It is a large hall, with a listed capacity of about 2,200, that books Brazilian bands most weeks and puts theme parties in between.
The June and July 2026 listings show the range: a free Friday night, the Festa do Medo e Delírio at R$140 full price or R$70 half price, and the Arraiá do Circo festa junina at R$180 or R$90, rated 18+. Shows started at 20:00. Not for you if you want the same night every week: the programme changes daily, so check the line-up before you go.
