Circo is a student bar at 580–582 Bristol Road in Selly Oak, close to the University of Birmingham. In term time it runs two big regular nights: Pounded Monday, with drum and bass and house from 19:00, and Student Saturdays, with party classics from 21:00 or 22:00.
Tickets are cheap, from £1 on Mondays and £3–15 on Saturdays, and themed specials such as Halloween can sell out. There are also socials for university sports clubs and sip-and-paint evenings during the week. Not for you if you are not a student or do not want a student crowd: almost everyone here is.
