Industrial venue at the Oude Dokken that Visit Gent calls the Mad Max of Ghent's nightlife, with techno and trance nights until 07:00.
Chinastraat is a raw industrial site at the Oude Dokken, and Ghent's tourist office calls it the Mad Max of the city's nightlife. It was bringing this part of the docks back to life long before the new apartments arrived. It hosts exhibitions and music video shoots (Stromae and Oscar and the Wolf filmed here) and, in summer, Bar Bricolage. At night it is a club for party concepts such as Splén, Roots of Minimal and Mo' Blood.
October 2026 brings Gaia, a techno and trance night from 23:00 to 06:00 at €10, and a Sevenum Six birthday night until 07:00 at €16 with no door sale. Buy in advance: capacity is limited. Not for you if you want comfort or a short walk home: it is rough, industrial and far from the centre.
Ticket-led and 18+; some nights have no door sale at all.
