Chapeau Rouge

Chapeau Rouge traces its history on Jakubská back to 1919, and today it is three floors of bar and club a few minutes from Old Town Square. Each floor plays something different at the same time, from funk and indie rock to hip-hop and house, and live bands play on some nights.

The bar opens at 17:00 every day and runs to 04:00; the club floors open from Thursday to Saturday until 05:00. Entry is cheap at around 100–150 Kč, and the crowd skews young. It is loud, cheap and central, which is exactly the appeal. Not for you if you want a quiet cocktail or a curated line-up.
