Carioca da Gema is a small samba house in a restored building on Avenida Mem de Sá, close to the Arcos da Lapa. A June 2026 schedule lists doors at 19:30 and a first show at 20:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday, a 21:00 show on Thursday, two shows on Friday at 20:30 and 22:00, and doors at 20:30 with a 22:00 show on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
A cover is charged on top of drinks; an undated guide gives R$25–38 (€4.50–7). Tables go early, so arrive before 22:00 or reserve by phone on (21) 2221-0043. Not for you if you want space to move: the room is small, and a busy night is crowded.
