Wine bar in a former chapel on Travessa do Carregal, pouring Portuguese wines with cheese and charcuterie; tables can be booked online.
Capela Incomum is a wine bar inside a former chapel on Travessa do Carregal, on the Cedofeita side of the centre. Time Out noted that the old altar is still in place. The list concentrates on Portuguese wines from around the country, served with cheeses, cured meats and small plates, and the staff will talk you through what is in the glass.
Tables can be booked online, which is worth doing at the weekend. Opening hours change through the year, so check before you go. It suits a quiet first stop before the bars of the Galerias de Paris, about ten minutes away on foot. Not for you if you want music loud enough to dance to.
Walk-in, or book a table online for Friday and Saturday.
