Beer café at the Tolsteegbrug with more than 80 rotating beers and one of Utrecht's largest canal-side terraces, partly heated.
Ledig Erf sits at the Tolsteegbrug, at the southern end of the city centre, and people come for the terrace. It is one of the largest in Utrecht, open all year, surrounded by trees and next to the water, with heated sections for colder evenings. Inside, the bar is small.
The beer list runs to more than 80 rotating beers, ordered through an app, with cocktails and lunch as well. It opens at 16:00 from Monday to Wednesday, at 15:00 on Thursday and Friday and at noon at the weekend. There are no reservations. On 10 and 11 October 2026 it holds an Oktoberfest with Paulaner on tap and live music. Not for you if you want to dance: this is a place to sit, drink and talk.
