Café La Trova is a Cuban cocktail bar on Calle Ocho run by the maestro cantinero Julio Cabrera and the chef Michelle Bernstein. The drinks follow the old Havana cantinero tradition, and the room has live trova music every night. It was number 24 in The World's 50 Best Bars in 2023.
It opens at 16:00 every day and closes at midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 02:00 on Friday and Saturday. Bands play from 19:00, and a DJ takes over after midnight at the weekend. Happy hour is 16:00–19:00 at the bar only. Not for you if you want a quiet corner.
