Music café on the Dageraadplaats in Zurenborg, with free live music on Wednesdays and late hours until 03:00 at the weekend.
Café Gorillaz is a music café at Dageraadplaats 14, the café square at the heart of Zurenborg. Every Wednesday evening a band plays for free, and the rest of the week it is a relaxed local bar with a terrace on the square, kept warm in winter with heaters and blankets. The house red costs €3.50 a glass.
It opens from Tuesday to Friday from 15:00 to 02:00, and at the weekend from 14:00 to 03:00. It is closed on Monday. The square is at its best on a winter evening, when the lights of the cafés around it are on. Not for you if you want a dance floor: people come here to listen, drink and talk.
