Multicultural cocktail bar on the Oude Beurs, open every night 18:00–04:00, with themed weekend parties from R&B to afro-latin.
Café au Lait has been on the Oude Beurs, a short walk from the Grote Markt, for around twenty years, and it was set up to bring people together whatever their colour, nationality or culture. Skilled bartenders make exotic cocktails, and the prices stay low for the centre: a Cuba Libre costs €7. It also runs street food events with international influences.
It opens every night from 18:00 to 04:00. At the weekend the room turns into a party, with themed nights of 90s R&B, funk, reggae and afro-latin music. Not for you if you want a quiet drink after midnight on a Saturday: by then it is a dance floor.
