Cactus Bar

Cactus Bar sits in the middle of Sunrise Beach at Haad Rin. Visit Thailand Today describes it as one of the original Full Moon Party bars, with the biggest commercial dance sound of the strip, and says it acts as the de facto main stage on party night, when its frontage is where the crowd is thickest and a handy meeting point. Wikipedia lists Cactus Bar and Drop In Bar as the original beach bars, drawing the largest crowds with nightly drink promotions and fire shows, and says they play chart pop, R&B and club classics. The Culture Trip describes a beach restaurant and bar by day that becomes a nightclub after sunset.

On regular nights there is no cover charge, and Visit Thailand Today calls the bar busy every night in high season, with fire shows, buckets and a dance floor on the sand. Opening hours and drink prices are not published on the pages read. On party night the ฿200 beach entry is collected at the walkways, not by the bar. Drop In Bar is about 80 m away and the beach about 130 m. Not for you if you want a quiet drink: the sound system is the point.
