Bourbon Street has put live music on stage every night of the week since 1990, on the Leidsekruisstraat just off Leidseplein. The room is a large bar with a dance floor and a lounge, and the bands play rock, soul, funk, reggae and blues. Shows usually start around 23:00.
Doors open at 22:00. It closes at 04:00 from Sunday to Thursday and at 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with no live music in the final hour. Bourbon Jam sessions run on set dates. Regular nights usually have no cover charge, but better-known acts can carry one. Not for you if you want electronic music: this is a band room.
