Bip Bip is a small bar on Rua Almirante Gonçalves in Copacabana, founded in 1968 and declared cultural heritage of Rio in 2010. It has no waiters: you take your drink from the fridge, tell the owner what you took and pay at the end. The live choro and samba are free.
Riotur lists hours of Tuesday to Thursday 20:00 to 01:00 and Sunday 19:00 to 01:00. An O Globo listing in June 2026 had the Sunday roda starting at 21:00, free. Not for you if you want table service: there is none, and the bar is self-service.
