BASIS sits below street level on the Oudegracht wharf, in one of the old storage cellars along Utrecht's main canal. It calls itself the techno basement and has run for over a decade. The DJ booth stands in the middle of the floor, at the same height as the crowd, the sound comes from a VOID system, and the bookings move between house and techno.
Club nights run on Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:00, and entry closes at 04:00. A November 2026 ticket costs €17 before 23:30 and €23 after; the summer Talent Nights start at €8. The door is 18+ with ID, the bar is card only and your phone flash gets a sticker. Not for you if you need space: it is a cellar, and it feels like one when it fills.
