Bar Oriente

Bar Oriente is a two-level venue on Calle Durango in Roma Norte. The ground floor is an Asian-influenced restaurant and bar with red lighting and neon, serving baos, yakitori and edamame alongside cocktails made with Japanese tea, sake and other Asian spirits. Upstairs, local DJs play disco, funk, vocal house and mid-tempo electronic music, and Resident Advisor lists a VOID sound system. There are private karaoke rooms.

It opens Wednesday to Saturday from 19:00 and closes at 02:30. The general dance floor charges at the door; the amount is not published. Reserve ahead on weekends if you want a karaoke room or an upstairs table. Not for you if you want a club that runs until dawn: it shuts earlier than most.
