Corner cocktail bar on the Vlaamsekaai in Het Zuid, with green tiles, copper and its own Forest gin and vermouth.
Bar Burbure is a corner cocktail bar at Vlaamsekaai 41, in Het Zuid's museum district, styled somewhere between Milan, Manhattan and London: green tiles, brass and copper, grey upholstery. It makes its own Forest line of spirits, and the Negroni uses both the Forest Dry Gin and the Forest Vermouth. Jurgen Lijcops founded the bar, and in 2025 the bar was run by bartenders Sander Gouwkels and Tijn Kempinski.
It opens from Tuesday to Saturday: 17:00 to midnight from Tuesday to Thursday, and 16:00 to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. Last drinks are served half an hour before closing, and the bar closes over Christmas and New Year. Not for you if you want a loud bar or a late finish: this is a place for two good drinks before dinner.
