Borgerhout bar on het Laar with a vintage, new wave and Britpop soundtrack, food and a big terrace on the square.
Bar Bakeliet is a music bar at Laar 11 in Borgerhout, the creative, multicultural district east of the centre that Time Out calls BoHo. The soundtrack is the point: vintage, roots, new wave and Britpop, on carefully built playlists, under warm lighting. It serves food from lunch to the evening aperitif, and the terrace spreads across the square in good weather.
It opens from Tuesday to Sunday: 14:00 to midnight on Tuesday, from 10:00 on Wednesday to Friday and from noon at the weekend, until midnight midweek, 01:00 on Friday and Saturday and 23:00 on Sunday. It is closed on Monday. Not for you if you want a club: this is a neighbourhood bar, and the night ends at one.
Relaxed neighbourhood bar with a 1950s Belgian-style interior, Formica tables and a jukebox.
Walk-in bar with a terrace on the square.
